Have an upcoming surgery?

It can be a stressful process to know what you may need, so let’s take one thing off of your plate!

Here is a list of items that I would recommend packing for your surgery, especially if you plan to stay in the hospital for at least one night.

You need much less than you think!

The Basics:

  • Long charger

  • Miralax

    • or an effective stool softener that works well for you

  • Mastectomy pillow(s)

  • Face wipes/micellar water

    • waterless hygiene options to freshen up once you’re feeling more alert

  • Toothpaste/toothbrush

Honorable mentions:

  • Special socks

    • I switched into my socks from surgery socks.

  • Change of clothes

    • You’ll need an outfit to wear to the hospital and home. I wore very stretchy cozy pants and a roomy zip-up hoodie.

  • Pampering items

    • you will likely not need these, but if you are feeling great and could use a little TLC- think of things that might feel good to have, like lotions, face masks, under-eye gels patches, etc.
